DKSH Business Unit Consumer Goods, Asia’s leading Market Expansion Services provider for fast moving consumer goods, and Haribo have signed a contract to grant DKSH the exclusive rights to market, sell and distribute Haribo's products in Singapore and Myanmar.

This marks the first time the two leading companies enter into a partnership. DKSH with its proven track record is well positioned to help the German confectionary company to increase its Asian footprint and capitalize on the growth in consumption and purchasing power of the rising middle class in Asia.

Haribo, based in Germany, develops, produces and markets confectionery products such as gummy and jelly sweets. The range of products includes gummy bears, other jelly sweets and licorice.

Dr. Joerg Wolle, President & CEO, DKSH Group, commented: “We are delighted to help grow Haribo's business in Singapore and to support its market entry to Myanmar. Myanmar is a very challenging market with significant growth opportunities. Therefore we are very much looking forward to this collaboration with Haribo.”

“Singapore and Myanmar are very promising markets with high potential for growth. By working closely with DKSH and utilizing its capabilities for value-added services, we expect to see the results of this partnership with an increased market presence and market share gains,” explained Nikolay Karpuzov, Regional Sales Director for Haribo South East Asia.

Somboon Prasitjutrakul, Head Business Unit Consumer Goods at DKSH, added: “The fact that Haribo has chosen DKSH as its trusted Market Expansion Services provider for its range of confectionary products reflects DKSH’s strength and reputation in the targeted sales channels. We are proud and pleased to commence this important collaboration with Haribo.”

The new partnership will further strengthen DKSH’s market position in Singapore and Myanmar while contributing incrementally to the Group’s profitability over time.

German-based Haribo was founded in Germany in 1922. Today, Haribo is one of the most successful and popular brands in the confectionery sector. Haribo is a world leader within the non-chocolate and licorice sectors. The secret of its success is the extensive range of high quality, great tasting gummies for which the brand is known and loved. All over the world Haribo has been adapted to fit consumer’s tastes and product preference contributing to its success internationally.
