SONIC Drive-In (SONC), a chain of drive-in restaurants, has signed a new franchise agreement with Cascade Development Group to open 14 new drive-ins in the greater Seattle market.

The first outlet, under the deal, will be opened in fall of 2014 and the rest by 2018, joining the five existing SONIC locations in the Seattle market.

SONIC believes that the latest deal will advance the brand network across the country.

Sonic franchise sales and international development senior vice president Bob Franke said, "This year, we've pushed well beyond our core markets in the Central U.S. to open SONIC Drive-Ins in markets like California, New York and now Washington."

SONIC operates more than 3,500 drive-ins serving approximately three million customers every day.
