US-based manufacturer of process automation systems Key Technology has unveiled a new standard Iso-Flo conveyor and hygienic options for all other Iso-Flo vibratory conveyors at the Pack Expo event in Las Vegas.

According to the company, featuring new enhancements that improve equipment sanitation and reduce maintenance, implementing these innovations on the Standard Utility Shaker enables Key to help customers maximize food safety and reduce the maintenance costs.

The new features of Iso-Flo conveyor's sanitary design include oil-free electric vibrating motors,
patent-pending vector lock screen clamp, elastomer isolators, scalloped flat bars, plate frame design, and a unique internal ground arm.

Unlike traditional mechanical drives, the Iso-Flo conveyor's oil-free electric vibrating motoreliminates the gear box, drive belts, and motor oil from the process, while vector lock screen clamp features a unique hybrid design that enables it to perform multiple functions simultaneously.

Established features include a stainless steel bed finishes that resist bacteria growth and are easy to clean and long-lasting StrongArm spring arms that minimize maintenance.

Key's Standard Utility Shakers are designed for processing fruits, vegetables, potato strips, and potato chips.

The equipment is available in two sizes, 24 inch and 36 inch wide, both 72 inches long and with or without screens. The Model 2472 offers 10ft² of screen area and the Model 3672 offers 15ft² of screen area.

Key Technology Process Systems product manager Tyrone Foster said: "These enhancements will help processors reduce the risk of product contamination, improve sanitation, meet rising government guidelines for food safety, and decrease exposure to product liability claims, all while reducing the cost of maintenance."

Key Technology, headquartered in Washington, US, is involved in design and manufacture of process automation systems including digital sorters, conveyors, and processing equipment.
