Portsmouth Water opts IFS solution for asset, project management

UK-based Portsmouth Water has opted IFS Applications of the UK-based global enterprise applications company IFS in order to support its mobile workforce, streamline service operations and optimize project and asset management efficiency.

IFS solution will aid Portsmouth to improve its efficiency and manage the lifecycle of its asset network.

The water supply company will use the asset management and the project management modules of the IFS Applications to distribute quality drinking water and to offer improved customer service.

Portsmouth Water works and asset management system project manager Richard Keates said, "We chose IFS from a shortlist of three vendors because they have demonstrated that they clearly understand our industry and are committed to working in close partnership with us to deliver a successful project and a world class water infrastructure."

Portsmouth Water supplies drinking water to domestic population over 660,000 along with industries, large defense establishments and varied commercial businesses.
