Milne Fruit Products expanded its line of dried products with the addition of MicroDried® vegetable products and two powerhouse fruit varieties.

MicroDried corn and peas were introduced at Natural Products Expo West. More vegetables like carrots and red beets, as well as organics, are expected to follow and should be available for sampling at the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT). Pomegranate and aronia fruits also were introduced at the show and added to the line of dried fruit products that already included blueberries and blackberries.

These new varieties have exceptional nutritional profiles, most of the natural nutrients are preserved through the MicroDried process. "The drying process gently heats the fruit to reduce the microbial load and uses a vacuum-microwave dehydration technology to finish—producing 100% natural dried fruit and vegetable ingredients with no added sugars, flavors, colors or preservatives," said Michael Sorenson, president and general manager of Milne Fruit Products.
