I have been into teas and tisanes my whole life.  Herbal teas and tisanes have been used for YEARS in MANY cultures to help NUMEROUS issues.  Today we will look at Chamomile and how it may help various painful issues.

According to many sources, Chamomile soothes for mild pain complaints.  Chamomile Tea has antibacterial properties, and you can put it (cooled) directly on your skin.

Here are some ways to use hot and wet chamomile tea bags:

Not only does drinking the tea help with mild menstrual cramps or painful diarrhea cramps, the hot bags can be wrapped in an old towel and placed on the point of pain for relief.   When you get itchy eyes, try washing your eyes with cooled chamomile tea or place the warm, wet tea bags over your closed eyes.  You could bathe mildly itchy skin with cooled or lukewarm chamomile tea, OR bathe mild or first-degree burns in COOL tea for pain relief. You can use a hot tea bag wrapped in an old dish towel or bandage, OR soak cotton pads in hot chamomile tea as a hot compress for mild earaches, especially if your ears have been irritated by scratching them too much. Drinking lots of chamomile tea, with the addition of spring water and cranberry juice, eases the pain of a mild bladder infections, too!

Ingredients:

  • 1 to 2 T Chamomile Flowers/Buds

Directions:
