Ruchi Frozit's launch

Ruchi Foodline, the Cuttack-based subsidiary of Om Oil and Flour Mills Ltd, held a press conference at Hotel New Marrion, Bhubaneswar, to announce the launch of Ruchi's frozen food brand Frozit in Odisha.

Nihar Ranjan Sahoo, the company's operations manager, provided a brief introduction to the Frozit range of products. Sarat Kumar Sahoo, managing director, Om Oil and Flour Mills Ltd, provided all information about the manufacturing of the Frozit brand in Odisha.

“Frozit is a new development in the food processing business. The brand has been successful in producing a host of frozen foods, and it can be stored using advanced technology imported from Germany and Switzerland,” Sarat Kumar Sahoo stated.

Rashmi Sahoo, director, Ruchi Frozit, and Arbind Sahoo, director, Ruchi Spices and Vermicelli Division, were also present. The former said, “In today's hectic life, we eat food lacking in hygiene. Moreover, various chemicals are used to impart colour and flavour to food.”

“So, Frozit will be a pioneer in the preparation of quality and hygienic food in the state,” she said, providing information about the method of preparing and serving food within a short period of time and the use of the correct amount of salt in the food.

Subrat Panigrahi, Frozit's consultant, spoke about how the company maintains its quality, the packaging technology and the freezing process. Arbind Sahoo proposed the vote of thanks. Madhusmita Barick, Srikant Mohapatra and Shipla Das, the company's senior officials, were also present.

The range of products was displayed at the event, and launched at Ekamara Hat after the press conference. The company plans to opens Frozit outlets in Odisha's two major cities – Bhubaneswar and Cuttack – in the coming years.
