In imitation of South American countries, more and more women are placing cabbage on their breasts. In South America, women tend to place leaves on their breasts as a natural solution to pain and swelling caused by breastfeeding.

How to apply the leaves
The cabbage needs to have been in the refrigerator for at least an hour before using it. Remove the outer layer of leaves and lay them aside. Tear off two of the inner layers for use. Wash the leaves carefully, and cut of the stem. When you have done so, place the leaves on your breasts, but make sure not to cover the nipples.

Keep the leaves in place for about 20 minutes, or until they feel warm. Do your breasts feel better yet? Only repeat the treatment if your breasts are still swollen or sensitive. However, there is no reason to use this treatment if your breasts are not painful and/or are not swollen.
