New consumer trends mark the market trend; this is the conclusion reached by the Portuguese company GL, and which has been the basis to launch a renewed product, namely fruit and vegetable juices under a new concept. "Consumers are striving for a balanced diet, even though they are not willing to introduce many changes to their diet," states Joana Santos, of GL. Hence the idea of offering small juices that can be consumed as part of breakfast, for example, and which act as a "detox plan," affirms Santos.

This product range, which will be launched this March under the brand So Natural, comes from a cooperative of Portuguese companies. They use their fruits and vegetables to manufacture these juices and, if they do not have the necessary ingredients, they source fromo producers from other countries.

"Although they do not belong to our cooperative, their products are as good as ours, since we have a team that goes to the field to control the production process from seed to harvest," said Santos.
