NBTY, a US-based manufacturer of nutritional supplements, is set to open its new nutritional bar man…NBTY, a US-based manufacturer of nutritional supplements, is set to open its new nutritional bar manufacturing facility in Amityville, New York.
The 66,000ft2 facility, whose construction was initiated in 2011, will produce the company's sports and nutritional bars such as Met-Rx, Pure Protein and Good 'n Natural Bars.
The plant will produce more than 1 million nutritional bars a year and is expected to create 150 new jobs.
NBTY is a manufacturer, marketer and distributor of a broad line of nutritional supplements in the US and throughout the world. It offers over 22,000 products, including products marketed by the company's Nature's Bounty, Vitamin World, Puritan's Pride, Holland & Barrett, Rexall, Sundown, and MET-Rx.
