Carrington Farms is introducing a ready-to-eat blend of flax and chia seeds.

The company bills the product as a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber and protein with a subtle nutty flavor. The flax chia blend may be added to cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, salads and casseroles or used as an egg replacement in meatloaf and hamburger recipes.

Carrington Farms also sells coconut oil and single-serving flax packs.

The flax chia blend is available in grocery stores for a suggested retail price of $7.99 for a 12-oz. pouch.
