The new association, which will be branded as Infant Formula New Zealand, will seek to protect the interests of New Zealand infant formula exporters.
To achieve this, the Association plans to develop an accreditation process for approved export brands. It plans to be self-regulated, and is seeking a close collaboration with the Government, reported Scoop.co.nz.
The founding members are Avante International, Biolife NZ, Carrickmore Nutrition, Homecare, Naturlait, NCA International, NZFF, Oohc-Oohc, Realize Asia and NZ Yum Yum Milk. Michael Barnett has been selected as the independent chairman.
