High Liner Foods, a prepared frozen seafood products manufacturer in North America, has announced the addition of two new products to its Viking Natural Tilapia range in the US.

The new products are Basil Pesto Tilapia and Baja Seasoned Tilapia. The company noted that the products will cater to the increased demand for seafood during the Lenten season, which will be celebrated from 13 February - 30 March 2013.

Viking Natural Tilapia fillets are an easy-to-prepare versatile menu option that offer a variety of flavorful glazes and breading profiles for foodservice operators, it added.

The range uses natural cuts from the most premium cage-grown Tilapia. The new Viking tilapia products are available in 3oz. to 4oz. servings and offer lower sodium levels.

High Liner Foods is a processor and marketer of prepared, value-added frozen seafood. Its retail branded products are sold across the US, Canada and Mexico under the High Liner, Fisher Boy, Mirabel, Sea Cuisine and Royal Sea brands. The company also sells its food products under the High Liner, Icelandic Seafood, FPI, and Viking brands to restaurants and institutions.
