The proposed expansion in the region is said to be a significant part of the restaurant operator's aggressive plans outlined in the coming years.
The buffet restaurant company is currently seeking franchise partners for the proposed stores, majority of which are planned across San Diego, Los Angeles and their surrounding communities.
CiCi's Pizza real estate and franchise development VP Thomas McCord said that the company is committed to expand the chain in Southern California region and has identified viable territories for expansion.
"We've thoroughly examined the markets and found that the demand for our pizza buffet concept continues to grow. We're eager to find franchise owners who are passionate about delivering on our promise to consistently serve delicious food in a welcoming environment," added McCord.
CiCi's Pizza is expected to create nearly 40 to 50 jobs with each store launch. The chain is also planning to allot $280,000 towards local development contracts.
The chain currently operates 500 restaurants in 34 US states.
